The Press Never Stops
Two more HF pieces in the New Haven-area press this week, including a hypothetical "HOWARD FISHMAN MIX TAPE" at www.ctcentral.com and stamfordadvocate, just click the links at top.
Free MP3 of the Month Feature Added
We snuck it in sometime in the middle of last month, and our first offering has had such a positive response, we thought we'd leave it up through the holidays. "I WAS NOT ELECTED" is a remix "DO WHAT I WANT" with a very surprising guest star. Check it out for yourself!
I-Tunes and What Not
In addition to "LOOK AT ALL THIS!" and "DO WHAT I WANT," HFQ's second CD "I LIKE YOU A LOT" is now available on digital music sites like i-TUNES, Rhapsody, MusicNet, etc. Send your favorite song to a friend and help spread the music!
Surprise, Surprise!
Fans in attendance at the Nov. 26 show at BARBES in Brooklyn were treated to a real surprise when they saw none other than PETER ECKLUND sitting in the horn chair for an evening of standards, New Orleans jazz and blues. Peter was a founding member of HFQ, and that's his cornet you hear on both our debut CD and the recently released follow up "HOWARD FISHMAN QUARTET VOL.2" (both available, as always, in our shop page right here on the site). Peter hadn't played with the band in nearly 5 years, and the show was a real treat, as anyone who was there will tell you!
