The American Theater Company
The American Theater Company was founded by Howard and a group of Vassar College students in 1990. It was a renegade troupe devoted to a roll-up-your-sleeves, brutally realistic aesthetic, and often performed its productions in unconventional spaces.
The group was active in Poughkeepsie, NY from 1991-1993, and in New York City from 1997-98.
