The Basement Tapes Project

The new CD/DVD continues to be touted by no less than bobdylan.com on their news page, and the full, three-night version of the project has just been booked at DUKE UNIVERSITY for Spring 2008.
Legendary writer GREIL MARCUS has this to say about the CD: ""Remarkable…I'm stunned, especially by 'I'm Not There.' The archaeological work…seems to me completely right, never forced, lucid, luminous, but the performance, as with Dylan's, is where the truth of the song reveals itself. It just broke me in half. Also 'Yea Heavy,' 'Kickin' My Dog,' and second only to 'I'm Not There' the gorgeous 'Crash on the Levee.'" Songwriter JOE HENRY calls it "beautiful...full of life and reverently irreverent."
