The Basement Tapes Project (aka "The Old Weird America") had its premiere at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater over Memorial Day weekend. Three big shows (plus a hastily-added fourth) were extremely well-received, and included some surprise guests like singer-accordionist Rachelle Garniez, Wade Schuman of Hazmat Modine, Peter Ecklund. Lots of excitement was generated, prompting calls for a live album and tour of this material. Stay tuned!
