New Taping Policy

Those of you who have seen the band perform live know that HFQ shows are not just rote recitals of songs from the CDs; rather, they're exciting, highly improvisational and no two are the same, which is why we've decided to officially encourage our fans to actively tape and trade our shows. Nice Company

Howard has been invited to perform at the 50th Anniversary celebration of a real New York City institution, THE SECOND AVENUE DELI. Howard will perform two songs, backed by the evening's house band THE KLEZMATICS. Also on hand will be Pulitzer Prize winning poet PHILLIP LEVINE, New York Times columnist FRANK RICH and downtown composer/performer JOHN ZORN.

HFQ brings WE ARE DESTROYED to L.A.!

Howard and the band have been selected as featured participants in this year's DIRECTOR'S LAB WEST to be held this May 22-29 at the Pasadena Playhouse in Los Angeles. "We Are Destroyed," Howard's theatrical work in progress, will undergo a brand new stage of development under the direction of DLW founder and producer Andrew Sachs. Plans currently include three days of intensive workshops culminating in a public performance on the evening of May 27. The band also plays its own stand-alone show in downtown Los Angeles on May 28!

Howard and the band have been invited to workshop "WE ARE DESTROYED" as featured artists in this year's DIRECTORS LAB WEST in Los Angeles, CA. An offshoot of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab here in NYC, this year's LA Lab will take place at The Pasadena Playhouse from May 22 to 29. We'll fill you in with more details as we get them. The band also hopes to book a show or two in LA while we're there. Stay tuned...
