HFQ is sad to announce its weekly residency at Pete's Candy Store comes to a close at the end of September. We've had a great 3 and a half years of Thursdays there and we'll really miss it. Come on down and visit this month one last time as we say good-bye to our favorite Williamsburg haunt.
Europa Video Clips
Two live video clips of HFQ (one quartet, the other full band featuring saxophonist John Ellis) have been posted at NYDAI's website, just click the link at top.

Maceo Parker, Yes; Bob Dylan, Maybe Next Time
Rumors that HFQ might open for BOB DYLAN for a date in Pennsylvania last month were true. Alas, the band had a previously scheduled engagement that prevented it from happening. Shucks. However, the band will be on the bill this month with the legendary MACEO PARKER for a big show at the 9:30 CLUB on September 13 in Washington DC! Hope to see you there!
New Songs, New Faces
HFQ kicks off the new season in grand fashion with its first big NYC show of the fall on Friday, September 12 at THE BOTTOM LINE (our support is none other than fellow Williamsburg icon REVEREND VINCE ANDERSON AND HIS LOVE CHOIR). You'll get to hear HFQ's semi-permanent new trumpet player, the extraordinary KEVIN LOUIS as well as a batch of NEW SONGS the band has been working on live and in the studio.BOTTOM LINE NIGHTCLUB
