SWR2, one of Germany’s top radio stations, has released a new Connie Converse audio documentary, produced by Monika Kursawe, and featuring interviews with Howard and with Dan Dzula, as well as some previously unreleased archival recordings of Converse and her family.

Howard and his band embark on a Northeast tour next month, performing his Basmenet Tapes Project in select theaters in New England. The tour coincides with the release of the complete, original Basement Tapes, recorded by Bob Dylan and The Band in 1967 -- music that has been bootlegged for almost forty years, and the inspiration behind Howard's project.

Howard’s theatrical oeuvre will be the focus of a concert on May 15, 2014 at SubCulture in New York City, in a special evening of music to benefit Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, directed by Sarah Hughes and MC'ed by playwright/performer Ed Schmidt.

Music for the concert will include selections from Fishman’s works for theater, including songs from Barry Rowell’s MANNA-HATA, Sam Shepard’s THE TOOTH OF CRIME, Christopher Wall’s THE CALAMITY, and Fishman’s own oratorio “we are destroyed.”
